چکیده

The area of the Classical Karst is roughly defined by a triangle with Ljubljana, Trieste and Rijeka as its vertices. This where first scientific studies karst phenomena were conducted. Two sub-regions that particularly attracted researchers are presented. Kras/Carso plateau Škocjan caves underground course Reka river. groundwater flow Reka-Timavo characterised high recharge variability allogenic inflow River restrictions in upper part subterranean flow, which control regional backfloodings observed cave systems. Ljubljanica Springs known for cascading series poljes intermediate has been focus hydrological over century, but many have resolved last decade based on results continuous autonomous monitoring decade.
Key words: Karst, Kras, Škocjanske Jame, system, Recharge Area, Polje.
 IZVLEČEK
Območje Klasičnega krasa v grobem objema trikotnik z Ljubljano, Reko Trstom ogliščih. Tu se je začelo znanstveno proučevanje krasa. Dve kraški območji sta tu še posebej pritegnili pozornost raziskovalcev. Prvo planota Kras s Škocjanskimi jamami podzemnim tokom Reke med izviri Timave. Ta tok močno zaznamuje velika spremenljivost dotoka reke lokalne zožitve vodonosniku, ki povzročajo regionalno poplavljanje, kot ga beležimo jamah. Drugo območje kraške Ljubljanice značilnim nizom dinarskih kraških polj jamskih sistemov, polja hidrološko povezujejo. že več stoletje predmet številnih raziskav, zvezno spremljanje parametrov toka jamah zadnjih desetih letih, pa omogočilo nova spoznanja o lastnostih mehanizmih pretakanja vode celotnem sistemu.
Ključne besede: Klasični kras, jame, podzemni Reke, kraško zaledje izvirov Ljubljanice, polje.

KRAS in pancreatic cancer.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the most feared malignancies. The most common form of pancreatic cancer is adenocarcinoma arising from the ductal epithelium. KRAS is the most common oncogene that has been found to be mutated. However, targeting KRAS directly has been difficult. We do not know a lot about the relationship between KRAS and other signaling pathways. At the same time, little is known a...

Kras - Targeted Library

INTRODUCTION The small G-proteins KRas, HRas, and NRas function as GDP–GTP regulated binary switches in many signal transduction pathways that govern cell growth and differentiation. Alternation between the GDP-bound ‘off’ state and the GTP-bound ‘on’ state is controlled by the guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs) SOS1 and SOS2, which catalyze the exchange of GDP for GTP, and by GTPase-ac...

KRAS mutant colorectal tumors

The treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) remains one of the largest hurdles in cancer therapeutics to date. The most advanced treatment option for mCRC patients are anti-epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) that bind to and inhibit the activity of EGFR. While the use of anti-EGFR mABs has had great impact in the treatment of mCRC, it has now been wide...

Quo vadis, Kras?

Somatic mutations in the Ras oncogene family (KRas, HRas, and NRas) occur in up to 30% of human cancers. Due to this high mutation frequency and the recent observation that survival of KrasG12D-driven cancer cells depends on the continuous expression of the oncogene in vivo [1, 2], mutant Kras is an excellent therapeutic target. However, efforts to develop drugs, which directly target mutant Kr...

Suppression of KRas-mutant cancer through the combined inhibition of KRAS with PLK1 and ROCK

No effective targeted therapies exist for cancers with somatic KRAS mutations. Here we develop a synthetic lethal chemical screen in isogenic KRAS-mutant and wild-type cells to identify clinical drug pairs. Our results show that dual inhibition of polo-like kinase 1 and RhoA/Rho kinase (ROCK) leads to the synergistic effects in KRAS-mutant cancers. Microarray analysis reveals that this combinat...
